Period = Statement and Question Mark = Question – - – Good to Know

Like it or not, religion is pervasive in our current culture. Funny how the fundies can’t tolerate a little difference of opinion.
In Fort Lauderdale, FL this sign is causing quite a stir:

“After seeing the billboard, Team of Life community activist Essie “Big Mama” Reed brought her students out to protest it Wednesday afternoon. “Nothing else matters, but that sign needs to come down. In the name of Jesus,” Big Mama chanted, as she led her students in protest. … “I don’t know the reason for putting this sign up,” said Big Mama. “It says ‘Do not believe in God.’ …Who else are they going to believe in?”
Methinks that Big Mama needs to learn enough grammar to know how a period and a question mark both affect a sentence in different ways. Just a thought.
Funny how this billboard isn’t getting the same reaction:

I now think I know why Sarah Palin quit, she’s going to travel the country leading protests and ridding us of those evil lunatic atheists and their lawyers.

Christians are usually the first people to cry out for religious protection, but they catch the vapors when you suggest that those protections also cover those who do not believe in any god(s). We just put up an atheist billboard here in Alabama and people are saying “if you ain’t christian, you should just get out.”
It’s just a taste of their hypocrisy.

A civil war, eh? Well, I suppose that’s better than an uncivil war.

*sigh* I’ll be glad when the rabid folks spin themselves out. That’s what I believe will happen, too. No question.

Maggie ~ anything we can do to speed it up?

Freedom of speech is sometimes a very unfortunate circumstance.
