Technically this counts as a post!

The three exciting things that are happening today don’t really add up to a post, but if I add in this reminder to the religious right it does.
Oh, the three things?
- I got my glasses back ~ yay for being able to read without holding something up to my nose
- I got summoned for Jury duty ~ only I would think this is cool, but hey I’ve never done it before so I’m excited.
- Kathy Griffin tonight at the Paramount ~ jealous much?
So um yeah, that’s it around here.

We walked right in front of the Paramount on Sunday….and saw her name on the sign. Hot! And, Jesus wouldn’t be any happier than you are with his people.

Jealous, yes. And much!

1. My partner went four days with only one lens in his glasses. He stumbled on it last night by the side of the bed. I can’t imagine doing without a lens in my glasses!
2. My boss was on jury duty for two weeks, and although it made work really difficult for her, she loved the experience and what she learned about the legal system in King County.
3. Hope to read a review from you on Friday. But don’t spoil it for me — we’re going Friday night!
And your green banner has been my theme line ever since I got divorced from one of ‘em:)

I always thought Jury Duty was a big waste of time. I never got picked for any juries because a.) my grandmother had been murdered, b.) her killer had never been arrested, c.) I didn’t know how I felt about Capital Punishment, d.) I’d been mugged in my boyfriend’s driveway, who happened to live with his father who was the f.) police officer who ran 911.
I did however get picked to be on a Federal Grand Jury and those are very cool — once a week for at least six months (but can be extended for several years if you catch a big case). We heard all sorts of cases from drug trafficking to police conspiracy to a nation-wide child-porn ring. If my boss hadn’t been such a pain about how it was conflicting with his time, it would have been one of my best experiences ever. I really felt as if I was contributing to something important.

Steve ~ the only thing that would have made it better is you there!
Lewis ~ I’m still waiting for jeebus to start smiting people
YvesPaul ~ she was great
NW ~ I would have gone crazy with only one lens, at least I only use mine to read but it really impacted everything while they were gone
J Lynne ~ my dad was a cop so I’m not sure how far I’ll get in the process, usually that’s a deal killer for the defense…
