13 Random Things in my Head

Well here we are once again, it’s Thursday. It shouldn’t really surprise any of you that I’m not prepared. How I got through college I’ll never know, but blowing my professors might have had a significant impact on my grades. I was going to do one of my reader selected posts this week, but honestly I’m not feeling all that creative today. Then I was going to do a list of 13 reasons why you’re getting a lame thursday 13 post today, but that was actually a fairly short list. So instead I guess I’ll give you a list of 13 random things rattling around in my head. This could be scary, be forewarned.

13 Random Things

1. Confidential to the dude in the convertable Porsche on the 520 bridge this morning. Dude, you’re hot and I’d do you in something like a half second, but that whipping back and forth between lanes really didn’t do you much good this morning did it? You still managed to be behind me when we hit the 405 merge – exactly where you started.
2. I can hardly believe that Halloween is in about 4 weeks. We’ll be doing a group costume at the Bump per usual. I hope we make the top three costumes like we usually do. I can’t tell you what the theme is (yet), but it should be good. As long as I don’t have to do drag it will be fun.
3. I want to go to the Hump screenings this year. Amatuer porn sounds like fun.
4. I kind of want the new G1 (Google Phone) from T-Mobile. Until they get one in the stores as a demo I can’t be sure though. I’m not one to just plunk down a chunk of money without seeing and touching the item first. They could just make my life easier and make the iPhone work on T-Mobile.
5. It’s Thursday which means it’s time for sushi thursday. This makes me happy.
6. I’m taking so much fish oil for my eczema (4000mg / day) that I sometimes smell like fish if you smell my skin. Trade off is that it’s actually working, so I suppose I’ll continue to smell like a fish.
7. I have an appointment to have a spot looked at on my tongue next week. My dentist is concerned about it, so he has sent me to a specialist. This will be the second time she’s looked for this spot, last time she couldn’t find it because it had gone away. Now it’s back. I smoked for 15 years, this could potentially be a big deal, I’m hoping it’s not.
8. We’re having dinner with two very dear friends on Saturday. They’re in their 80’s and a great couple that we enjoy spending time with. The downside is that one of them is developing Alzheimer’s or dementia and it’s so difficult to watch her degrade. It really is one of the cruelest things that can happen to us.
9. Free Coldstone Creamery ice cream between 5 and 8pm tonight. I’d so be getting me some of that if it weren’t for the lines (hate crowds) that will be the inevitable result, the dairy allergy and the whole diabetes thing. So yeah, never mind. Enjoy it for me though!
10. Confidential to all the assholes who cheat by zipping down the carpool lane at the on ramp to I-5 from 45th St. One of these days the cops will be watching this on ramp and your ass will be getting a ticket for being one person in the car pool lane. On that day I’ll laugh and laugh and laugh as I wait for the ramp meter to flash green so I can get on the freeway.
11. Either I’m getting a cold, my allergies have kicked into overdrive or I’m getting a sinus infection. Whichever it is, it sucks and not in a good way.
12. Playing MarioKart with a cat in your lap is not easy. It’s better when she’s asleep than when she’s trying to rub her chin against my hand and causes me to run off the track.
13. I hate my job only because of three people that I have to work with – MPP (Miss Prissy Pants), GH (Greasy Hippy) and R4BB (Rock for Brains Boss). If the three of them were gone it would be happy days again around here.
