Not sure how I feel about this yet…

Well it’s official, Obama/Biden 08. I’m not sure how I feel about that yet, not that I would vote for McCain in bajillion years, but I’m still not sure that Obama made the right choice. Check in with me in a few days after I’ve had time to investigate…
Off to spend the weekend with my parents, talk amongst yourselves.

I saw/heard Biden speak at the NEA Representative Assembly in Philadelphia back in July 2007. He came across as arrogant. In trying to appease 10,000 educators he mentioned that his wife is involved in education. He said something along the lines of, “I can not only guarantee that I will have an educator in the White House advising me on policies, but also that an educator will be SLEEPING in the White House….right next to me.”
I realize he was kidding around and all…but it still nudged me in the wrong places, you know? It felt like he was belittling the idea of having an actual educator as part of the whole policy making process (since that would be something new and different! IMAGINE!)
So, I’m not completely sold on Biden. However, as I’ve stated before….there’s no way in hell that I’ll vote for McCain…and hopefully Obama can stay focused and open-minded.

An excellent choice and one that will serve Obama well.
Biden fills certain gaps in the Obama brand. Biden has decades of foreign policy experience, he has contacts around the world, Biden has no enemies in the Congress and he knows how to grease the wheel and get agendas passed.
Plus, Biden is a fearless attack dog — something Obama is not comfortable playing. Biden will go after the Old Coot and tear his head off.

Well, you will have another choice on election day. You can always choose McCain.

Jewelz ~ I can see where that might rub you the wrong way and besides W has had an educator sleeping in the White House the last 7 years and what good has that done? Not that I’m comparing Biden to W, but you know what I mean.
