I weep for the future…

Posted by Chris on 15 August, 2008

I spied this over at the !!omg blog!!, someone please tell me it’s a fake…

Not only is poor little Jessica dumber than a box of fucking hair, but she can’t even spell the name of the state that she lives in. Her grammar is worse than that of my five year old niece and I am just amazed that anyone could be this stupid. Are there really people out there who think that Russia has invaded the American state of Georgia? Granted our military forces are stretched thin, what with our occupation of Iraq and all, but I’m certain that if we were invaded we’d have a military response.

I think Crusader has it right, it’s more likely the Yankees that will be invading Georgia (the state, not the country Jessica) than the Russians. Then again if McCain is elected it may very well be the country of Georgia that the Yankees are invading next.

I’m off to buy dictionaries, thesauruses and atlases for all my nieces and nephews…

Isn’t it awfully close to the chick from South Carolina trying to talk about something or other on the Miss USA pagent a while back? Cute but stupid. I see it regularly.

i needed that, fake or not.

OMG, Is this for real? When I read this I couldn’t stop laughing. I guess people really are this stupid! Thanks for making me smile today!

My guess is that it is totally real. I cannot sometimes believe the stupidity of some people, though. Oy vey!

Lewis ~ pretty close she was just painful to listen to, this makes my brain hurt just reading it
    JC ~ sure thing :)
Michelle ~ I’m afraid that it is real b/c people are just that stupid
Hilly ~ I’m with ya, makes me want to go back to bed

Wow….um, yeah…just wow. Good thing school starts soon! Perhaps poor Jessica can take an extra English class or 10 to catch up!

  7. I hate to say that it is so likely real, but even if it’s not, somewhere you can bet someone is all kinds of confused. When the recent conflict came on the news I kind of wondered how many would simply not get it and assume it was the state of Georgia… Eeek.

Perpstu ~ throw in an extra semester of geography and it might be enough
Maggie ~ another example of how clueless most Americans are when it comes to the rest of the world

This must be a plant designed to make readers laugh.

If not, then Jessica is either 5 years old or suffers from a learning disability.

The funny thing is, I was told when George W. Bush first learned of the Russian invasion of Georgia, he turned to an aide and asked, “Do the Ruskies control Atlanta yet?”

    He wasn’t joking.

Christopher ~ that’s what I’m hoping, but I guess there are people that are really this stupid… W doesn’t surprise me anymore – the man is dumber than a tin can.

  11. Christian said

    That’s funny.

I have an entire “backwoods cousin” constituency down south….I’m worried that Jessica might be a relative of mine.

  13. Chris said

Jewelz ~ I do too, wonder if Jessica might be my relative, or maybe she’s both our relative…

Yah, even if that one instance is a joke there are plenty of kids who have no idea Georgia is anywhere but in the southern US of A.

    Weeping is extremely appropriate.

  15. Chris said

Poppy ~ I wonder, is it possible that we could just take the smart ones and make our own country?

Me suspects it a fake. Being from Texas, I can recognize fake stupidity from the real thang. And this smacks of faux. But the post is hee-lair-ious!

NW ~ I suspect it’s fake, but on the other hand I really do know people who are this stupid… On another note – glad you’re back was just thinking about you this afternoon as I drove past the zoo and wondered where you’d gotten to
