Things that make me go hmmmm…

Posted by Chris on 18 June, 2008

I was standing in the pantry area at work today heating up my lunch in the microwave, when I happened to glance into the soda cooler.  Since I don’t drink soda that often I rarely pay any attention to what’s in there.  Today, for some reason, I noticed the cans of Diet Coke Plus ~ the diet coke fortified with vitamins and minerals.

In addition to providing great, refreshing taste, Diet Coke Plus is a good source of vitamins B3, B6, and B12, and the minerals zinc and magnesium.

Honestly if you need to get your nutritional supplements from a can of soda I think you have more problems than that can alone can fix.

I’m worried at where this trend might lead us…

  • Cotton candy with Ritalin sprinkles
  • Snickers bars with anti-depressant nougat filling
  • Twinkies with a Valium center (that reminds me of a story)
  • Chocolate cake with spinach frosting
  • Ding dongs with mashed potato filling

That made me snort the water that I am drinking…cause yanno, I take my vitamins in capsule form.

If the coffee I drink late at night could have a sedative effect (without sacrificing the happy feeling of caffeine), I’d be in.

Hilly ~ I take my vitamins in a capsule form too, but I usually wash them down with straight vodka, what is this water of which you speak?
Shiny ~ I’m in as long as they’ll cure jock itch, herpes and chlamydia
Maggie ~ sleep is over rated

I’ve got a 12-pack in my basement (well, it’s my basment for another month or so, anyway). It was on sale.
