The liberals are coming, the liberals are coming

Some people just don’t get it, no matter how many times they are beat over the head with the facts, they choose to bury their heads in the sand and continue with their delusions. I sometimes listen to Coast to Coast, a paranormal talk show, the Seattle affiliate it runs on is the local conservative radio station. The local commercials that run during the show are usually promos for the other talk shows on the radio station or local businesses. Tonight I heard a promo for another show that made me laugh my ass off. The punch line was
“the liberals are trying to take away your rights”
Hmmm, let’s think about that for a minute, in general a few things liberals are in favor of are:
- the right to choose ~ also known as the right to control your own reproductive options
- against the death penalty
- equal rights for all citizens regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender
Among other things, liberals support rights for everyone. I’m a bit confused as to how that constitutes taking away anyone else’s rights. I suppose when you’re so uptight that you feel you need to control every thought and action of someone else you would be threatened if they were allowed to think for themselves.

Way back in the 70s when the GOP was in the minority, Lee Atwater taught the Republicans how to push buttons with catch phrases. They learned quite well how to stir up folks with simple (deceptive) phrases, and “earned” the majority as a result. Of course, America lost out big in the deal, but almost half of us still don’t “get it” and still swallow the same phrases hook line and sinker. So that’s why you heard ridiculous, absurd tripe like that. But, have you noticed? It is not working so well anymore.

I’m done with the democratic party, cheap skitzoid whores always looking for attention and making bad decisions in the process. They reward all of the bad behavior by the Obama campaign and the DNC rules and bylaws committee punishes the voters of MI and FL while rewarding so called superdelegates in the process. They have cheated democracy to get their own way in this nominating process. They are splitting the democratic party in 1/2 as well and can’t see that to spite their face because they are blind to democracy and fair justice. I’m hoping that Hillary is still the nominee – but if she isn’t I’ll punish the dems with my little vote and never play their games again. My only hope is that Hillary will take her party and start a new party and call it Labor. I’ll be a Laborer.

Liberals (me) are trying to take away some rights that conservatives hold sacred.
I would love to see the right to dump toxic waste into the air and water taken away. I would love to see the right to tax breaks for corporations taken away. I’d love to see those same corporations rights taken away when they decided to bail out on the city that gave them tax breaks for greener pastures in Mexico. I would love to see the right to war profiteering taken away.
Sadly, it ain’t going to happen with this current crop of Democrats, supposedly the liberal party. Hell, the personal rights that should come with liberal Democrat rule aren’t going to come either. Ain’t nobody taking away anybody’s rights and ain’t nobody going to get any rights that they deserve either.
Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to go cry.

NW ~ I’m so glad that the tripe is not going over as well anymore. I’ve never quite understood why otherwise intelligent people could believe those ridiculous sound bites.
Db08 ~ Wow, you’re one of them. Do you honestly believe that any Democrat is worse than a Republican?
