Was that a weekend?

Another busy weekend down the drain. Friday was Bryan’s birthday so a cake was made, dinner was had and a present was unwrapped. Unfortunately he was still feeling pretty crummy from the ongoing cold and we just went to bed early.
Saturday we joined T-bone, Trixie and G for dinner at Pomegranate Bistro (restaurant review to follow) where drinks and frolic ensued and more presents were given and unwrapped. After dinner we went to the Cirque de Soleil traveling show, Corteo. I was less than impressed, but Bryan and the girls really enjoyed it, so a good time was had by most.
Sunday was cleaning and laundry day. Then that evening we sat down to watch the Survivor finale with Trixie and G (T-bone was out of town for Mother’s Day) Thus began a comedy of errors. The girls came to our place and we ordered pizza and sat down to watch the show. The pizza finally arrived at about 9pm (everyone in Greenlake must have been ordering pizza last night) and as we were finishing up dinner the satellite freaked out on us and we lost about 30 minutes of the show. We debated just continuing to watch at our place, but decided we could head over to Trixie’s place and rewind the Tivo and see what we had missed. So we piled into cars and headed out for the 10 minute drive to Ballard. Unfortunately once we arrived at Trixie’s house we discovered that her Tivo had freaked out and didn’t record anything at all. So we ended up missing about 40 minutes of the finale which bummed us out, but what can ya do? It was a colossal cluster fuck of the sort that could only happen to us.
How was your weekend?

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that doesn’t appreciate Cirque du Puree. I find it a lot more creepy than entertaining.

Jen ~ I found it to be incredibly boring, but unfortunately Bryan loves it so I’ll have to see it again I’m sure.

Hmmmm, we have tix to Corteo in a week. Never liked clowns; screamed when they were near as a kid. But trying to go into it without expectations. Partner has been to, like, 5 Cirque performances, so he would like them if they did shadow puppets I guess.
Weekend was great, Chris, thanks for asking. Margaret Cho and Kelly (!) on Saturday and hunky marble Romans at SAM on Sunday. Spent half of Saturday helping partner find trees for a landscaping job he is trying to finish.
And it did not rain, now, did it?

How can one be “less than impressed” with anything by Cirque du Soleil?? I thought that was physically impossible

Madhouse ~ and the minority of my friends too
NW ~ let me know what you think about Corteo. Jealous that we did Corteo last weekend instead of Margaret Cho & Kelly!!!!!!!!!!!
CB ~ I worked hard at it
